About rolling dice in the browser

Dice Roller simulates common polyhedral dice (and a count of dice) locally with Web Crypto. Results appear in this tab. Nothing is uploaded. Use it for tabletop games, classroom probability demos, or a playful picker. It is not a casino, not a provably-fair ledger, and not a substitute for physical dice when your group requires them.

A d20 is not a random integer generator with arbitrary bounds — use Random Number Generator for that. Modifiers, exploding dice, and full RPG notation are out of scope unless the panel shows them. Close the tab to drop the last roll from memory; we do not keep a campaign log.

Related: Random Number Generator, Random Name Picker, UUID Generator. Scientific Calculator for expected-value homework rather than a roll.

The URL is /tools/dice-roller. We do not stream rolls to a VTT. Advantage/disadvantage is not a separate mode unless the panel lists it. Keep physical dice if your table requires them.

A published seed for later audit is out of scope. Classroom demos and one-shot tables are enough.

What is the dice roller?

It rolls standard tabletop dice (d4–d20) locally. Each face is equally likely, using Web Crypto.
