Private by design

This conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your text is not sent to a server.

Tip

Include https:// when the host is ambiguous. Query keys appear as one key=value pair per line.

How to inspect with URL Parser

  1. Paste a URL, Unix timestamp, date, or 5-field cron expression.

  2. The parsed parts update as you type — nothing is uploaded.

  3. Use Analyze to open URL Parser, Timestamp Converter, or Cron Explainer.

  4. Copy the parts you need. Invalid input shows an error instead of a result.

When should you use it?

  • URLs

Split a link into host, path, query, and hash without a debugger.

  • Time

Convert Unix seconds to ISO UTC, or a date string back to Unix.

  • Cron

Read a 5-field expression before you paste it into a scheduler.

  • Stays here

Links, timestamps, and expressions never leave this tab.

Your values stay private.

URL parsing, timestamp conversion, and cron explanations run entirely in your browser.

About parsing URLs in the browser

URL Parser splits a web address into protocol, host, port, path, query string, and hash using the URL constructor in this browser. Paste a full URL and the parts update as you type — there is no Run button. Query parameters appear as a list you can copy. We do not persist the input, so a signed URL or token in a query string does not come back on the next visit.

This is not a crawler, not a redirect follower, and not a way to fetch the page. Relative URLs without a base are rejected. Internationalized hosts follow what the browser exposes. We do not decode twice, rewrite tracking parameters, or tell you whether the certificate is valid. Malformed strings show an error instead of a guessed host.

Related: URL Encode / Decode when you need percent-encoding rather than a split. Timestamp Converter if the value is a Unix time, not a URL. Cron Explainer for schedule strings. JWT Decoder if you pasted a token and wanted header/payload, not URL parts.

URL Parser FAQ

Protocol, host, port, path, query string, and hash, using the URL constructor in this browser. Query parameters appear as a list. The split updates as you type — there is no Run button.

No. This is not a crawler or redirect follower. Relative URLs without a base are rejected. Input is not persisted so a signed query string does not stick around.

The string may be missing a scheme or be malformed. Use URL Encode / Decode when you need percent-encoding rather than a split.
