About the scientific calculator in this tab

Scientific Calculator evaluates expressions with sin, cos, tan, log, and powers using JavaScript math in this browser. It is a scratch pad, not a CAS, not a graphing calculator, and not IEEE-backed financial rounding. Trig follows JavaScript radian convention unless the panel documents degrees — check the keys before you trust a sine.

Floating point will surprise you (0.1 + 0.2). Extreme powers overflow to Infinity. This is not a substitute for Percentage, Loan, or GPA pages that document a specific formula. Unit Converter is for converting measurements, not for evaluating sin.

The URL is /tools/scientific-calculator. We do not plot graphs and we do not solve for x symbolically. Memory keys, if present, live only in this tab. Close the page to drop the expression. Open Loan or BMI when the formula is documented on those pages.

Homework scratch is welcome. Engineering sign-off is not. Use the dedicated formula pages when the problem is a loan or a GPA, not a sine.

How to evaluate an expression

Enter the expression

Use the keypad or type. Functions follow the panel labels.

Evaluate

Read the result in the display. Watch radians versus degrees for trig.

Clear when done

Clear drops the expression. Closing the tab does the same.
