Record lap
Record splits locally
Lap stores a split against the current elapsed time. Copy the list into a log if you need it later — closing the tab clears both the clock and the laps. This is not race timing with photocells.
Why record laps here
Same local clock
Start and pause match Stopwatch. The extra control is Lap.
See split and total
Each row shows the segment length and the running total.
Copy the list
Copy laps into a sheet when you want a log. Nothing is uploaded.
Reset clears both
Reset zeros the clock and the list. Close the tab for the same result.
Your data stays private
Lap times stay in this tab. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.
About stopwatch laps in the browser
Stopwatch with Laps records split times you can copy. Same local timer as Stopwatch, plus a lap list. Use it for interval practice or comparing segments without a spreadsheet.
Laps are not stored after you close the tab. Background throttling still applies. This is not a race-timing system with photocells. Copy the list when you need it elsewhere.

The URL is /tools/stopwatch-laps. We do not export IAAF timing files and we do not rank athletes. The list is a convenience in this tab. Keep the page visible so the browser does not throttle the clock. Reset clears both the display and the splits. Nothing is uploaded.
Interval coaches still copy splits into a sheet by hand. There is no cloud log, no athlete profile, and no photo-cell heat. If you only needed start and pause, open Stopwatch. If you needed a countdown, open Timer.
